Why Knoc Matters - It's In Our DNA

A quick post - why does Knoc matter and why you should pay attention to the macro-level of "sharing platforms".

First, if you're still unsure what Knoc is, we're a peer to peer platform for tasks and errands catered to the college community.

So why does Knoc matter? We're one of the pioneers that believe in the "sharing economy" - Instacart, Airbnb, Task Rabbit, Eat With etc. And beyond the commerce of things, beyond the sales and transactions, the deeper meaning is to build more trust and comfort within the student community.

Let's please eliminate the notion of "stranger danger" and take a step back to realize that humans are stunningly good despite what we see on the media (that should be a whole new post in itself) . I mean for Uber or Airbnb to work at scale, it MUST be that humans fundamentally need each other to thrive.

We as a collective are wired to share, interact, and grow as a whole and not as individuals. If we connect more, we accomplish more. If we connect more, we're more creative, smarter, happier. It is in our DNA!

And Knoc is part of that mission. There's always been the lingering problem of college students, especially freshman, not having or building relationships and connections within their community that could greatly benefit them along their college career.

We want to change that. We believe Knoc can not only solve the problem of inefficiency and unused resources within the college community, but also on the macro-scale, be able connect more students than they would have before.
